Mariposa County, California has been battling wildfires that have destroyed 29 homes and over 48,000 acres so far.
Cal Fire has firefighters out helping fight the fires, but no only are they protecting homes and helping evacuate people - they are helping reunite families with their fur babies.
One firefighter found a dog wandering near the fires and saved him. The Cal Fire department posted the photo to Facebook and within 20 minutes found the owners.
Major props to the firefighters for their efforts in all areas during the wildfires as well as social media for being a great way to connect people in times of need.
